They go to sleep listening to Slayer and Opeth. I have pics of The Boy watching videos of live shows. Comes from having a daddy who plays guitar in a band and lives for metal. I put my foot down now and they are listening to Beatles For Babies... and not sleeping as well! When the Big Guy is feeling all nostalgic, Lil' Bum will sit with him and watch hair band countdowns on VH-1. Believe me, it could be alot worse. In the truck we listen to her children's music. Her favorite right now is a praise and worship song that includes her name in the lyrics. I hate to admit this but she also likes to listen to evanesscence. The study that idea came from was totally unrelated to the end statement that companies like Baby Einstein like to use. The whole point of the article/original study was that ANY music is good for kids. Rock on with the 80's! I actually think I would prefer that over the nonstop loop of Justin Timberlake playing in my car. (No, really. It's been going on for nearly a year now.
