I agree with Jess. See what is the latest you can order it and still have it by early June, then then take it to a seamstress. That's what I did for Jess' wedding and it worked out pretty well. Jen's last blog post..We Bought a HOUSE!

Leave it to the pros! Go try one on now. See what size it is. Keep that in mind for your chest, and expect your waist to be smaller and hopefully hips/rear.

My SIL had 2 nursing moms as bridesmaids in her wedding. THe babies were about 8 months old at the time. One swore she’d get down to a certain size, and we BARELY got her dress zipped up. The other figured she’d not lose as much as she wanted, and hers ended up almost too loose…. You just never know.

My one big word of advice – DON”T SKIP THE NURSING PADS… One of them didn’t want to mess w/ it in her strapless bra, and OOPS.. By the end of the reception, she was wet…

Lots of David’s Bridal stuff is in the store on their racks – so I bet you could hold off until a month or so before the wedding.

Like mentioned before, call DB and see when the latest you can order it will be. They actually have a lot of dressed in stock but once they are discontinued it can be a pain getting them from other stores (that is what I did for my wedding). You also could ask if you could wear a different 2 piece style in the same color. That is one of the great things about DB, they have many styles that go well together. Just ask David’s Bridal for the latest date to order the dress to have it arrive about two months ahead of time. Order a little big; then you have plenty of time to get it altered. It shouldn’t be too hard to find an alterer who will be able to get it ready for you in the last month or so, especially one who does it part time or works out of his/her home.

Like I said in my comment on Flickr, I wore that same dress in a wedding last year. I ordered it about 3 months before the wedding and was fitted about a month before. Hopefully, the DB near you can work in the same time frame so you’ll have the perfect fit

I was 8 months preggars in my brother’s wedding. They were gonna get married a year later. I wish they did, I would have had a nine month old and would have AT LEAST been down a few lbs. But noooooo. They weren’t changing their minds. So I wore a tent.
You will look GREAT in that color and don’t worry about the size. It has to be a bigger size so it can fit your massive mommy boobs. They can alter the rest down!

I don’t have a clue, just a story. My sister decided to get married when I was pregnant. The problem was we were not even in the same state. She picked a dress to accomodate my belly, but to make sure it would fit. The first she mailed was huge and the second was a bit snug. Thank goodness my MIL is an excellent seamstress and was able to find every possible way to give me more belly room.

By the time the wedding arrived the dress JUST fit…barely.
