I will update this post with pictures over the weekend. But goodness, this is crazy. And, for the record, the Intelligent Powers-That-Be in our county decided not to order any more salt for the roads as of the end of February. Even before the Blizzard arrived, I smacked my head on the desk. Why? Well, duh. All of the big snow storms and/or blizzards that I have been alive for have been in March. Good grief.

On to the photographs:

These are from Friday, March 7, 2008. It started snowing at 11:00am. We had two inches in two hours.

Moving on to Saturday, March 8, 2008. The “official Blizzard” is moving into the area today after a brief pause in snow and ice (with thunder) at 5:00am. The snow started falling at 9:00am which is when I snapped the picture on the right. The first shot is a comparison shot from two hours of snow yesterday to this morning.

More coming as the day progresses. It’s supposed to stop by supper time. We’ll see.

We’re still a little too cold for that kind of snow, but in a couple of weeks, it’ll be our turn. We pretty much can’t have April without two major dumps of snow! You have to admire winter for trying so desperately to hang on each spring, even though he loses the fight every year!!!

Thinking warm thoughts. This whole winter has been crazy. They predicted snow for us but it missed us by a hair last week. We were in the seventies yesterday.

    Hope everyone is staying cozy.

I’m in San Diego…it’s 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I would LOVE to see some snow! Have a great day. See you around.
