Oh, BigBrother.

Is it bad news when you know, prior even to this picture at two years, four months of age, that the teen years are going to be somewhat difficult? Do I need to invest in a big stick now? You know. To beat the girls off of him? Trust me. I know. It’s not the girls’ fault. The problems we’ll face include:

1. He’s cute. And he knows it.

2. If he inherits his Daddy’s tendency towards Baby-Faced-ness, well, hearts will swoon.

3. If he inherits the genetic ability to flirt (which neither FireDad nor I possess), well, it’s all over.

All the same, this is a picture of BigBrother kissing Girlfriend A1 on Easter Sunday. Girlfriend A1? Yes. Because there’s Girlfriend A2 and Girlfriend E. He also has Much Older Girlfriend K wrapped around his finger and has been known to make eyes with Much Older Girl(not-quite-friend) M. Boys? He’ll play with boys if they’re the only ones around. Otherwise? He’s all about the ladies.

Thankfully, Girlfriend A1’s Mom is awesome and we enjoy spending time together. So when we marry these two off at least I’ll like my older son’s in laws. (As an added bonus, Girlfriend A1 has a younger sister just a month older than LittleBrother.)

Joking aside, these two kids are good friends. BigBrother even shared the car that the Easter Bunny brought him. That, my friends, is love defined. And not just when you’re two years old. Sharing is love. As are kisses in the church pew.
