Love Thursday: A Moment

LittleBrother woke up from his early evening nap just as we were going to spend the last thirty minutes before pre-bedtime-snack outside. FireDad brought him outside and they sat in the shade provided by the house. He wasn’t quite awake yet and so the smiles weren’t forthcoming. And yet, he wasn’t grumpy. He was quiet, content and observant as often is his general attitude. He is very much is Father’s Son.
I snapped pictures, thinking that the lighting would make for some nice shots. And they were nice shots. And while this particular shot has LittleBrother looking grumpy, I see something else. I see a Daddy who is so in love with his little(st) boy. I see a little boy who is comfortable and leaning back against his Daddy. I see a soft and tender moment spent outside in the early evening. I see so much in so little.
These are the moments that we want to remember forever.
