LittleBrother is a mover and a shaker already. I’ve been hunting a gate for our strange, top-of-stair (half-wall at an angle) installation for awhile. I found this gate a few weeks ago but wasn’t 100% certain. Until today. I found this review at GearheadMom (a blog to which I just subscribed!) and went ahead and ordered. More great things about Retract-a-Gate? Their site has the pay with PayPal option and they have a survey at the end to better help you and future customers. Look for a detailed post of installation, complete with pictures and horror stories of gates-gone-by, in a week or two. I’m sure FireDad is already THRILLED!

Thanks for sharing this find! We have been looking for a gate to put between our kitchen and family room. Since the opening is so large, it is hard to find one that is not a big ugly barred thing and that can be removed if when we don’t need it. I will have to show this to hubby tonight! Thanks!

Oh good! My biggest fear when Nate was a baby was the stairs business, even though we had a door to our basement stairs!
