It’s June 4th? Good grief. Let me update you on how I’m doing goal wise. Once again, it wasn’t a great month.
1. Project365. Well, I did it. I missed a day. Apparently nothing of note happened on May 28, 2008. I got discouraged when I woke up on the 29th and realized that I had missed a picture. Did it make any sense to continue on? Sure does, folks. Why? Well, 2008 came equipped with an extra day! (Leap Day for you brainiacs.) As such, I would have taken 366 pictures this year. Now? Just 365. And so, here’s my mosaic for May, missing one day and thus showing 30 pictures. (Almost all of our Project365 pics are public on our flickr set.)

2. Reading. Well, I did better than last month. But not by much. Sigh. I’m trying. Really! I am! But here are the two books I managed to read this month: ScreamFree Parenting by Hal Edward Runkel and The No-Cry Discipline Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. Does this clue you in as to how my month was going? It should. It’s been a hard month with the two year old. It just has; no one can deny it. Not even BigBrother himself. I decided to finally read these two books… which I ordered months ago… in hopes of figuring out what the heck to do with him, myself and the rising frustration level in the FireHouse. Tomorrow I’m going to do a comparative review. As a sneak peak: I loved one of them and loathed the other. I’m sure you can guess but tune in tomorrow for a full update. (Of note: I’m also behind in updating my GoodReads list. I’ll get there. Promise.) I’m already ahead of myself on these numbers for June so, well, at least it will be better!
3. Weight Loss. In short: I need to stop going to The Farm! Every time I go, I gain between 1 & 3 pounds. And we were there twice in one week last month. Thankfully, I keep losing that weight. But never losing more than that weight. The good news is that the cold snap has ended and we have returned to taking evening walks with the boys. I’m also getting pretty regular at working out with my Wii Fit in the mornings before the boys wake up. And we are joining the gym this month. (It’s taken awhile. I know.) I was planning on writing about weight loss this week but I bumped it to next week in favor of another topic. So, tune in next week for some great tips! (Including more info on Wii Fit. Ooh!)
Okay, so May wasn’t full of fail. But I didn’t make much progress on anything. Here’s hoping that this month, being June, will be a bit more productive on all levels.

Project 365 is a great idea. As for reading, blogs are what I read. As for weight loss, I need to make some serious life style changes. Sounds like your goals are being met better then most.
I’m doing the up/down weight thing too. I’m trying to revamp my expectations. You ‘sound’ tired…hoping a gym routine and some more sunny summer weather will help! How did it go w/ LBs weight check?
Lovely photos!
I don’t personally know anyone who had a more successful May than you!! Your photos (even minus one!) are wonderful. And your leap year excuse is inspired! Your reading was wonderful (can’t wait for reviews!). And a pound or two here and there? I’m waiting for your tips!

Ooo did you say Wii Fit? So very tempted to part with my hard-earned cash for this but need someone to tell me it’s worth it.
