We’re heading to The Farm in a little bit. I am not packed. (Though this is not a surprise to my readers now, is it?) To procrastinate a little more, I thought I’d throw up a post about my absence this weekend with a short explanation.
MY BABY BROTHER IS GETTING MARRIED.
I’d tell you that I’m okay with this… and… I mostly am. My sister-in-law-to-be is great. But I’m left feeling very old. I remember when this kid was born (I was eight). I remember being so aggravated with him because when I would tell him to leave my room, he would keep his toes across the threshold, on MY side of the carpet. I remember thinking I couldn’t wait to get rid of him someday. And now. He’s all big and grown and getting married and moving out of my parents’ house.
And I’m all nostalgic, folks. My baby brother. Sigh.
Here’s hoping the weekend is a successfull, stress-less one. (Anyone else see the humor in that hope considering a wedding is involved?) Alas, off we go.
Leave them beautiful marriage wishes.

Oh. To be young and in love.

Congrats and this Zig Ziglar quote is a favorite of mine, it helps in a plethora of situations.
“Many marriages would be better if the husband and the wife clearly understood that they are on the same side.”
Best of luck and may God bless your union!

They look like babies!!! They are making me feel really old.
) Seriously though, congratulations to them! They are a beautiful couple. I pray for a happy marriage with many blessed years to come!
Ohhh, they are gorgeous! I’m 20 and I have so much respect for other 20-ish folks who have themselves together like that. Obviously I am not one of them! Best of luck to them and congratulations!!
