Oh, so true. Most of my friends are on the other side (see, I refrained from saying the dark side...LOL). I just have to smile and smile, and smile some more. But I will be so darn happy to see election day. It'll be almost as good as my birthday because then I'll be able to talk to my friends again!

THANK YOU. I hate politics. And this is why. People cannot be adult about it.

I vowed once I left home that I will avoid it like the plague (now that I have that option). No more posing for the political family picture, no taking sides, no debating, no more nasty and untrue comments or gossip being spread around about your family..... JUST IGNORE IT ALL.

I vote, but I refrain from discussing it. Ic an't believe I even read your post, but i'm glad I did. HERE HERE!

Amen, Jenna.
Brian and I could learn a little something from #4. Some nights, we are about ready to strangle one another.

It's so nice to finally come across a post like this online! I think we've all been feeling it lately. It's nice to discuss politics when you can actually have a conversation instead of an argument that results in name-calling, sweeping generalizations, insults, etc. Good rules! More people definitely need to start following them.

Great post. Hilarious and Oh. So. True. The name calling is awful, isn't it? I do my best to respect people's decision, even if it isn't mine. Many of my online-blogging-friends lean a different way than I do, but we are very respectful of each other.

Personally, I'm trying to avoid it all together. I have posted on my sidebar on my blog who I am voting for, but I don't think I will be writing a single political post. It's going to be hard, because I *do* feel passionately, but I like to keep the peace. And it can be hard when two people with opposing views feel so passionate to not result in hurt feelings or strained friendships.

I'm looking forward to your weekly Tuesday posts!
