TheBrothers took extra long naps. I was running out of nice light by the time they woke up so we rushed outside before either were fully awake. This resulted in some funny snapshots this week. This first one, with the two of them, is BigBrother grumping at LittleBrother because LittleBrother wouldn’t kiss him back.

They were actually being quite cute together. I need to remember to take the video camera out with me as well. They were still half-asleep and sat still for longer than I’ve seen either sit still ever before. Of note: LittleBrother still had a sheet wrinkle on the side of his face that you can’t see in the photo. Win.

Winning, of course, is not what the Steelers are doing right now. Not that we can watch the game where we live because the TV Gods That Be seem to think I care about the Browns and the Bengals despite loathing both the Browns and the Bengals. And, you know, despite the fact that both teams are less than awesome.

In fact, BigBrother’s face in this first shot sums up my feelings.

Oh well. Hopefully we pull off this game. I’d really be kind of peeved to lose to the Eagles. But all I’d have to do is look at BigBrother’s face in the second frame, taken approximately two seconds after the first, and life would be all right again. Kind of. I’d really rather they won and BigBrother was smiley.

That would be a great world.

Be happy that you didn’t have to sit through every painstaking play of that game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a QB get sacked that many times. It was absolutely brutal. My only consolation was that I was in a bar full of Colts fans, and they lost, too.

@Kendra: Yes. FireDad called me from work and let me know the moment they lost. My face looked like BigBrother’s in the first frame. I’m not particularly thrilled right now. I think this post was appropriately named, no? An omen, if you will.
