this post made me weepy for all the "Sarahs" out there.

And you singing O Holy Night...makes me weepy too. Theres something about that song, and when the "Fall on your knees" part starts, I cry every time. I wish I could hear you sing it.

"We are also pleased to be teaching these boys of ours the true meaning of Christmas and how to share that meaning with others through our actions."

every christmas growing up my family donated a meal (a frozen turkey, box of stuffing, all the side items that come either frozen or boxed and dessert) to a family in need. we never knew a name, just how many people in the family. also our local radio station did a toy drive. you call in and either say you want a boy or girl or that you don't care, and they'd give you the age, what they want, something they NEED (coat, mittens and hat, boots) and a number to put on the packages. i would always help and it really did teach me about how giving as fun if not MORE fun that getting and that there are those less fortunate then my family. i have vivid memories of shopping at Kmart for a kid i didn't even know. i hope to do this with jamison as well.
