Personally, as a woman who's worked in a male dominated industry for the last 20 odd years I can categorially say that I dont give two hoots about sexism - let 'em believe what they want, I know the truth and when fluttering my eyelashes will use my stilletoes on their 'privates'..... :-) Firemom, have you not considered the phrase carefully?
