The best flowers are the ones passed down in the family!

Some of my hostas were my Nana’s. I love them. My mom has my Grammie’s irises and Nana’s whatchamacallits. Those old perennials are the best!

I actually use a Canon Rebel XT. For my flower pictures, as it was raining, I messed around with both the macro setting and the “P” mode with the “shade” setting (which brings about a warmer tone that isn’t present on a gray, rainy day). I’d really like to upgrade my Canon but I don’t think I will be doing so until 2010.

As for brown thumbs, I thought I had one because I couldn’t grow tall roses like my mom. I still can’t. I just grow different things. I will tell you that those purple flowers, whatever they are, are impossible to murder. And they spread very well so it looks like you’re doing more than you are!

Okay, I’m sure you’ve answered this question a hundred times already, but what kind of camera did you use? Your photos are amazing.

I have dreams of having a real flower garden, but I have a brown thumb. I’m determined to turn that around though when the kids are a little bigger.

Wow, it’s amazing how a shower can really make the colors in your garden pop, isn’t it? I wish I had your love for gardening, but I don’t. I have a poor, black thumb that manages to kill every plant in its path. But I do love enjoying *other* people’s gardens and yours sure is beautiful!
