I had wanted to write a big long post about the pros and cons of our vacation. I’m not, however, back into “real world” mode just yet. In fact, I’m kind of sullen and melancholy about the fact that we’re home. It’s not that I didn’t miss being home. But I miss the ocean. And pictures like these, taken our last night during a walk on the beach.

I promise to write something legitimate tomorrow. For now, I’ll probably curl up and read Good Night Beach to the boys before their nap for the hundred thousandth time. I still have photos to upload. Things to put away. (And a free 8×8 photobook to make over at Shutterfly before August 26th. Run!) We’re trying to find our routine again. While we didn’t stray too far from naps or bedtime, it’s still hard to adjust. They want the beach. And so do I.
I miss it. 51 weeks is a long time to wait whether you’re two or four or twenty-eight.

I love the shot of LittleBrother. Don’t you just love little kid feet? So kissable. (Um, when they’re your own kids’, I mean. Yeah.)
Aww, the post-vacation blues are awful
But at least you have next year to look forward to!
Is there a code for the free photobook? I looked but couldn’t find it… that’d be awesome to make a book of my australia trip. If I can actually look at the pics without getting sad, lol.

It was right at the top of the list of offers when I logged in yesterday. Did you log in?
It sucks to have nothing to look forward to for ages. It’s almost better never to take vacation. Or have birthdays.

The pics are awesome! Yeah, I know exactly the feeling of the ‘post-vacation’ especially if it was on ocean, kinda like we get into a ‘blue mood’ but it pass by time! Welcome back to the “Real Life”, FireMom!

So that sunset pic? Awesome! I want to frame it and hang it in my apt! Seriously, you should have been a photographer!
Gorgeous pics – can’t beat the beach. I actually fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing on my alarm clock. Love it.
