I was excited when I read, last week, that this week’s You Capture theme was The Feeling of Fall. Why? The feeling of Fall is most definitely here. The temperatures have dropped and the leaves are starting to do the same thing. They’re showing up in various shades of red, yellow and orange.
Beware: lots of pics. I was snap happy.
First, some leaves.

While trying to snap the above leaf, this little friend crawled by.

Then I took some pictures of the boys playing in the leaves on this particular day. This was before the fire so we weren’t yet exhausted or grumpy.

Please note that BigBrother is stabbing LittleBrother with a leaf stem. Brothers.

Pretending to eat leaves like The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Then the fire happened. And we escaped to the park on Monday again for sanity’s sake. With their new fall pumpkin shirts on from a great little Etsy store. It cured a little bit of the grumpies but not all of them. Trust me. At least they looked cute.

Leaves are funny.

And, to wrap it all up, some more leaves.

I want to give a big, hardy thanks to Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry for the challenge this week. Not only did it turn up some great pics (some of which I didn’t even share here) but it got the three of us non-firefighters out of the house on Monday after a very long, very worrisome, very exhausting weekend. It allowed us to laugh, run through leaves, throw leaves, stab each other with leaf stems, argue over leaves, pretend to eat leaves, accidentally eat leaves, bring leaves home and crush said leaves into the carpet on accident. Without this challenge, we likely would have stayed in on Monday as it was somewhat chilly. We would have been stuck at home, grumpy and getting on one another’s nerves. I’m so glad that we had a fun fall day.
Even if there are leaves crushed into my carpet.
Next week’s theme is red. Ooh. Who predicts some fire truck shots for Fire Prevention week? Double win! Speaking of winning, we’re giving away a $100 Visa gift card on Stop, Drop & Review. Go!

This is Super cute. And it makes me really excited. I have two boys almost 2 years apart but right now their ages are 2 and 5 months. It’s been really sweet but with each day it gets sweeter. I’m looking forward to them being good buds. Great pics and great capture!
OH my goodness those pumpkin shirts are the best!!!! Such sweet boys

These photos are amazing. That one photo near the top of the leaf with the dark red and yellow in it. … I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that. Your boys are absolutely adorable. SO glad to have found your blog!
Love that one of the boys showing each other their leaves. Cute boys.
