Weekend Outtakes: My House is Clean

My kids are at my mother-in-law’s house, having some much needed Nana-time. I worked yesterday evening, had a date with FireDad and still managed to wake up at the same time I am normally awakened by BigBrother every morning. I worked again, did some shopping and cleaned my entire house, playroom included. (Toy purge, minus the kids’ choices? Done.)

Now? I’m missing my boys.

They’ll be home tomorrow afternoon. I plan on sleeping in a bit, enjoying a quiet breakfast, heading to church and picking up a few things before returning home. I can’t wait for their hugs, their stories and their energy.

And their quick but thorough destruction of my very clean house… because a house isn’t a home until the giggles are bouncing off the walls and the toys are strewn all about… right?
