I was hoping to avoid the movie in the theater, but a friend of mine really wants to see it. I hope it’s better than the first one.

I just read the first book this weekend. I had avoided it, wanting to avoid the popular teen story. But I finally though, if I liked to read things way beyond my years when I was a teen, what’s wrong with reading Harry Potter and this vampire romance stuff now? I’m in more need than ever of easy reading for stress relief and escape.

I’m glad I read it. I really enjoyed the characters. What little I’ve seen on TV this week of the actors, I think I’ll avoid the movies completely. I’m sure they wouldn’t live up to what I’ve imagined in my mind, and I hate to ruin the rest of the books altogether. (And none of the guys seemed the least bit attractive to me on screen).

I do intend to get the next in the series at the library this week so I can enjoy more Twighlight in my head.

I admit that vampires can be kind of hot, but 3:24 in the morning?! I’d probably be snoring before the movie even started.

Hahaha! You’re not a Cougar!

There was a group of 40+ers who seriously MOANED every time Jacob appeared on screen and when he took of his shirt? OMG, I thought they were going to have to hose down the theater… It was bizarre. NO ONE gasped/squealed at Edward. It was all about the werewolf at my theater.

So unless you or anyone in your group was acting like a dog in heat during the movie, you’re safe from my judgmental glare.

I am not a cougar! I am a happily married woman who is bogged down with the details of life and likes to escape to la la land. Nothing Cougarish about it. Jacob is a nice looking KID and Edward…well I am in love his character (fiction doesn’t count in cougardom!), but it is hard to get over his teeth and the fact that he looks like his hemoglobin is at a 3. Anyway. That is my protest of being called a cougar!
