I used to go out every year. It was never bad around here, people helpful and cheerful, but I am hearing that it isn’t the norm. This morning instead of getting up before it should be allowed the hubs and I slept in and then he called a couple of the local stores to see if they had the PS3 bundle he was in search of because his died 2 weeks ago. Since I had a bit of unexpected money come in from work we decided that he could use it for that purpose. When he called the 2nd store and they said they had it, he said “I bet given the day you probably won’t hold if for me.” She asked his name and said if he could come within the hour it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

For all my griping about the weather here, my smallish town with a mall is one of the best places I have lived ever.

I work this evening. FireDad is also working today. As such, the boys are spending a wonderful day with their grandparents. I’m mostly jealous. But, yes, others can have at it. I’ll stay home. (Until I have to work later, of course.)

I never shop on Black Friday. I did once in high school, and it sucked, and it wasn’t nearly as rabid as it is now.

Some people enjoy it, and to those people I say, “Have at it.”

This year, unfortunately, I am working the day after Thanksgiving. Not too crazy about that, but I’ll survive.
