This is LB’s last winter for his (*cry*) but the good news is that BB’s fits my huge head. Hopefully that kid’s head never gets bigger than mine. He’d be off balance. He’s got a big head but I win that one.

Here are some great, but not full proof, snow tips from Me Ra Koh: http://www.merakoh.com/2008/01/22/ski-lessons-for-kids-and-phototips-for-parents/
That said, those are really for sunny days that also involve snow. You have to adjust ISO or aperture (or both) if it is cloudy or actively snowing. I actually took these pics at ISO 800 at 1/3200 (kids move quickly in the snow) at 2.8. Reading a post like Me Ra’s can help you figure out where to start and then you just fiddle from that point.
It is very refreshing to see a family like yours. I just found your blog and all your pictures are great. It is a relief to know that there is someone else out there who has shunned facebook. Stay strong firedad!

I got that coat (online) at Disney last January for $14.99. Total win. They don’t seem to have winter-y coats on their online store this year. At all. I’m kind of bummed.
