WOO! So awesome that you were a recipient!!

Also, my willpower struggles more with salts than sweets. But I've kept it to two a day. Very proud. I've lost 6 pounds since January 1st but had two family deaths and funerals with grief meals following so that has thrown me off course a bit! Such is life.

We were the recipients of The Gift of Caring project last year. WooHoo!!! It was a great surprise, as the troop didn't tell us they were doing it, until they got here with 13 cases of cookies. Of course, they didn't last long, as we are a department of 80 members. None the less, we sure did appreciate the gift.
P.S. Your will-power is amazing. I have lost 20 lbs. since jan. 17, so no cookies for me this year....:o(

Mmmm, Samoas are my favorite too. I wouldn't have a problem with having a box to myself. I'm also glad to hear you call them Samoas (as we do in New Jersey) - when I was in Massachusetts, they were "Caramel deLites." Very upsetting. (Also, Tagalongs are Peanut Butter Patties and Do-Si-Dos are Peanut Butter Sandwiches. Seriously - no creativity.)

I'm the only one in my family who likes the Samoas. (Is that good or bad??) I can never, never eat just two and, therefore, am in awe of your willpower.

LOL. I'm cookie mom for my daughter's troop. Our fire station also serves as the delivery point for our service unit's cookies. However, we only have 7 troops in our service unit. We took delivery of 556 cases of cookies on Valentines Day starting at 7:15am.

I actually look forward to delivery day. Our SU Cookie Manager is a Type A+ personality, so she has it organized to the nines unloading, sorting and reloading only took us an hour and forty-five minutes. It is a lot of fun as we stack the cookies in a bucket brigade.

The Gift of Caring project happens every year. Each troop decides where they want their GOC cookies to go. Most, go to Troops serving around the world. Our Service Unit also donates cookies to our safety personnel. Not only for use of their facilities, but for their support of the Girl Scouts throughout the year. They are quick to help us with badge requirements etc.

I like the Samoas too. What is FireDad's favorite cookie?
