LittleBrother in his Blue Fire Truck ShirtA few weeks ago, I came across a wonderful new company called Shirts That Go. The concept behind their invention was that there aren’t many shirts out there with “things that go” that aren’t overpriced, cheaply made, ugly or smeared with annoying words like, “Vroom Kaboom!” Or, “Big Boys with Big Toys!” Or some such nonsense.

That’s why I’m in love with these kids t-shirts.

It’s no surprise that TheBrothers love things that go. Fire trucks are just a part of our everyday life. Their love of all things wheeled is not limited to the big red truck, of course, and covers just about anything that moves. I, however, am tired of the wordy, gaudy, cheaply made shirts in retail stores. I wanted something simple but something fun. I found it with Shirts That Go. They look realistic. They’re well made and soft.

Both BigBrother and LittleBrother are pleased though I don’t know why BigBrother is making this face.

These kids t-shirts are quality made. In fact, I waited to review them until they had gone through two washings (and dryings). They held up just fine. No fading. No peeling, like you get with your extremely cheap t-shirts. They still look just as good as the day they came out of their fancy pants box. As a mom who spends money, quality is something I absolutely have to have and I’m pleased to find it.

Not only do they have fire truck t-shirts (both red and blue) but train t-shirts, airplane t-shirts and a growing catalog of, yes, shirts that go. I like how the designs aren’t overly cheesy or baby-ish. They’re big. They’re bold. They’re fun. I would definitely make another purchase. Sizes start at 2 and run all the way to kids’ 12 which means that I can dress the boys in things that go for quite some time.

That said, I’m so excited to be giving away one of these Shirts That Go to a very lucky winner. The winner can choose their choice and size of shirt!

Here’s how to enter:

MANDATORY ENTRY: Visit Shirts That Go, look through their offerings and tell me what other things that go should they offer on their shirts! 1. Don’t worry about entering me in the contest, my son is 13 now, and wears men’s sizes (sniff sniff). I LOVE THESE, and why weren’t they around when my son was little? My suggestions would be garbage truck and street cleaner. My son was obsessed with these when he was 4. He actually told his preschool teacher that his dad drove the garbage truck (I was a single mom then and he didn’t “have” a dad…) and then also insisted that my car was a street cleaner.

    I blame Mighty Machines.

  2. A few ideas I have would be a school bus, police car, race car, tractor and other construction vehicles. Nathan also loves anything with wheels. :)

  3. I took the survey. I see they have most of my ideas listed as possible designs! :)

  4. Oh, you are the best! I have a soon to be three year old who is obsessed with things that go (particularly if they have wheels). His daddy is also a firefighter so of course the fire truck (or the “Big Stick” as daddy calls it when he is driving the tower truck) will probably be the first purchase. However, as an EMT I’d like to see an ambulance in the mix as well (actually ambulances rate above firetrucks for my son right now, haha). With a things that go obsessed toddler I can think up a few good shirt ideas… here are my suggestions:
    Ambulance
Boat (tug boat, Coast Guard boat, Aircraft carrier)
    Motorcycle
    race car/ police car
    excavator
Space shuttle (although these are nearly obsolete)
Helicopter (Medivac variety would be nice)
    riding lawn mower ;)
Okay, I’ll stop. There are just so many things that my son has in his books that we look at every night. Once my brain gets going it is hard to turn them off them. Thanks for the great tee shirt resource.

  5. I know that my son would love a shirt with an ambulance on it in particular! A police car or a garbage truck would also be fun to see.

  6. Tweeted!

  7. I’m follower #4 for @shirtsthatgo on twitter.

  8. Took the survey.

  9. I completed the survey too!

  10. The shirts are very cute. I’d like to see a freight train maybe. They do seem a little pricey to me!!

  11. I love the website and concept. Charlie is just at the size of “big boy” shirts but is still into things like Hot Wheels, etc. that you can’t find on bigger sizes without getting into icky stuff.

I would suggest: motorcycles, pick up trucks, Monster trucks, sports cars or classic cars plus what everyone else has said too.
