I took BigBrother out for some photography fun yesterday.  We hit up the city park. And by photography fun, I mean that we both had our own cameras. He was a snap-happy little dude.

He was awestruck by the skateboarders. I heard lots of little wows coming out of him in one of those quiet voices that I almost never get to hear from him. He took a picture of one skateboarder starting down the ramp. Most interesting is that his photo was better than my photo from the same time stamp.

Skateboarder

He managed to take a rather artistic and accidental photo of me while I was taking photos of the skateboarders. I did edit this one slightly because the color was blown a bit. I just merely threw this one into black and white and messed with the opacity a bit. Yes, those are my most favorite green shoes that I now wear everywhere, with everything.

Feet

We went to the pond next. I didn’t want him to climb down the steep incline to wear some boys were fishing. So he stood directly above me and took this photo. Amazing reflection.

Reflection

Later, as I edited my photos, I asked BigBrother if he wanted to be a photographer when he grew up. I know what the answer usually is (and, really, I’m not too grumpy about it).

He replied, “Yes!” He paused for a long moment and gave me the look.

The Look

But do you mean space ranger?”

Sure, buddy. Whatever you want to be.

[Minus the last picture, all photos are from BigBrother's Fuji FinePix S5100. I did not edit the skateboard or pond photo.]

  1. Great photos! We bought Kiddo a FP kid camera but it takes crappy photos (even with a flash) and totally eats batteries like M&Ms. If I ever get to upgrade my camera I will do like you mentioned and give the old one to him. Maybe that will encourage him to take more photos.
.-= Elizabeth´s last blog ..It works great! Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock =-.

  2. I’m especially excited about the Louisville Riverbats hat he’s wearing…which is a the Triple A team of the Cincinnati Red…just sayin’.
