My grandma Mae used to say if you see a humming bird sitting a person who has passed is thinking about you

Wow. It means a lot that you commented with this because my grandparents, both, were/are huge hummingbird lovers. I learned to love hummingbirds because of them. Now that Grandpa is gone, this means so much to me. Waldo, our male, was sitting on the wire watching us the other night. Now I know it was Grandpa. Thank you.
Is that Waldo?

It is Waldo! Or, rather, the ones with the red throat are Waldo. The one without red is the female whom we are calling Lady. Not that imaginative…

Are those in your back yard? I’ve tried attracting hummingbirds (the girls’ grandma has a million of them) but nothing I try seems to work. I blame it on all the noise the girls make.

Yes. We’ve had one in the front yard for the past four years but finally decided to hang a feeder in the backyard, too. It’s been great. We do have a bunch of flowers that attract them (reds and oranges) though we have grand plans to plant more. Plans… someday? HA
