November is a weird month. On the day that I gave birth to BigBrother, we had a miniature yellow rosebush that bloomed. So, I’m not overly surprised that it is currently 67 degrees.
Not overly surprised, but certainly overjoyed.
I took the boys to the park as soon as I finished my day job at 3pm the other day. This is Big News as I avoid the park at 3pm. Why? Kids. And their parents. Listen, I’m sure your kids are perfect angels at the park. I’m sure they don’t chase the little kids around, or push them when they run by. I’m sure they don’t throw mulch or kick sand. Or say words they’re not supposed to. Or play on the swing that says Wheelchairs Only in plain lettering. I’m sure you don’t smoke or use language you shouldn’t be using around small children or generally annoy me either. But some other kids and parents? Well, yeah. We avoid the park at 3pm.
But we couldn’t avoid it this week. The weather was too perfect. And there are so few of these days left. Like today. And tomorrow. And then that’s likely it for 2010.
So, hit the park we did.

I snapped pictures. Obviously.
And they played hide and seek.

They eventually found two friends to play with, though I didn’t snap their pictures. I took more pictures of them. As that’s what I do.

And I sat on a bench, enjoying their laughter and watching them play.

And then the sun hit just right as BigBrother sat to count for his new friends. I rejoiced in the moment.

Point me in the direction of this sunny post mid-January, when I’m whining about darkness and such.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

I am sitting here waiting for Amelia to get off the bus so we can load up to go to the park. I am loving this weather.
Nothing like a nice afternoon at the park!

You are so fortunate to be parenting in the era of digital cameras. There was a time (wayyyy back in the dark ages, like maybe around just before you were born), when we parents would count ourselves lucky to get *one* good shot out of a 35mm. roll of 36. Your boys, and the images you capture of them, are simply gorgeous!
