Fishing

We went fishing today.

Fishing

BigBrother is getting pretty good at fishing on his own, though I have to help him bait his hook and retrieve stuck hooks from the rocks and “seaweed.”

He’s even learning to stick his thumb in the fish’s mouth and throw it back.

Fishing

LittleBrother requires a bit more help still. He’s only three.

Fishing

But he wants to do it on his own.

I was happy to help and snap pictures and watch these three.

Fishing

And I taught the boys an important lesson.

Fishing

Marry a girl who will bait her own hook. Also, if she accidentally gets worm guts on her face and doesn’t freak out? She’s a keeper. Just sayin’.

  1. Will have to remember to pass that tip on to my three lads. Lovely shots of a fun day.

  4. Funny — my son asks why I make him come back to his room and pick up his dirty clothes instead of doing it for him and I tell him I’m training him to be a good husband. I hope his future wife will thank me and let me spend as much time as I want with the kids.
