- Wool Skirt: Sears, 2004 (yeah, you read that right)
- Black sleeveless blouse: Maurices, 2012
- Black blazer: Maurices, 2012
- Necklace: Maurices, 2011
- Black tights: Kmart!
- Black boots: Enzo Angiolini, via 6pm, 2010
I bought that skirt in 2004 to wear to a bridal shower for a good friend. I was quite in shape at that point as her wedding was one month before my wedding. The fact that the skirt fits again pleases me to no end. It’s a lovely quality and I’m happy to have it back in my wardrobe.
The boots, however, are the real joy of this outfit. Mir posted about the Enzo Angiolini sale on 6pm before Christmas two years ago. My husband purchased them for me after I said, “Hey! I want these for Christmas.” On Christmas morning, I found out that they didn’t fit my muscular calves. All of the weight gain after that point surely didn’t help matters, and they were put in a box (along with the skirt) of things that no longer fit but I hoped would someday. I’ve been trying on these boots about once a week for the past two months. My calves are still muscular; there’s no denying that. Running won’t make the muscles disappear either. However, my calves are shaped a bit differently now and last week I learned that these puppies zip up! Mir was right; they feel just like butter!
We will be childless next weekend for a date night, so I have no idea what I might wear next Sunday! Follow along via the #wiwsunday hashtag on Instagram or request to follow me on Instagram.
