Today is the last day of 33.
It’s been a year. Most years are, of course.
But today… I worked with great people. I ran three miles in the sunshine. I took a long, hot, uninterrupted shower. I brushed the dog and threw her ball. I sat at the baseball field while one son practiced and the other played, ran, and laughed. I treated us all to ice cream. I played a game of wiffle ball with my family. I sat in the setting sun and the crisp, spring air and felt a peaceful love wash over my soul.
Yes. It was a year. But I’m here.
