For our (long-winded) personal biographies, please read this page. Briefly: we’re a family living east of Columbus, Ohio. My husband is a professional firefighter. I am a freelance writer and editor. I also work part-time for our local newspaper as a photographer. Our children are (almost) four and (almost) two and both boys. I’ve been blogging since 2001. This version of the blog has been live since January 2008.

How I Work With Companies:

• Product reviews: I love working with companies that we either already love and utilize their products or that, upon discussion and research, I feel would be beneficial to my readers to use. As such, I do perform blog reviews, both on this blog and our review blog. My disclosure policy is viewable here. We are interested in reviewing anything that matches our interest or would be of interest to our readers. Preference/timing is given to any product with a fire theme (safety, toys, clothing). We will not review anything that is not family-friendly. Any inquires as to reviews should be sent through the contact form.
• Advertising: I do offer advertising spots on my sidebars at any given time. Prices can be found here. Discounts are available to companies and Etsy sellers who have fire themed products.
• Events: I am willing to travel to events. I can drive to Pittsburgh and Columbus without much issue. I can travel elsewhere if your event rocks my socks.
• Media Inquiries: Have a question for me as a blogger? A wife? A mom? A writer? A part-time photographer? A woman? A birth mother in open adoption? (The list really goes on…) I love answering questions for other journalists. Please just drop me a line via the contact form and I will help you out if I can! (May I also suggest HARO to you?
