It’s been a long time since I’ve had time on a Saturday morning to create a Pics of the Week post. I was so thrilled with some of my photos this week, some that have already been posted publicly on flickr and some that were not, that I had to make time this morning.

A lot of these are nature shots as Spring has fully sprung but there’s some cute kid goodness as well.

Sunday, the Apple Tree Blossoms Open a Bit More

Monday, Grandma Evelyn's Flowering Almond Caught my Eye

Thursday, My Neighbor's Bleeding Heart Plant

Thursday, the Apple Tree in Full Bloom

Thursday, LB Barefoot on his TractorThis photo is evidence of my favorite iPhone app, Hipstamatic. More on that next week!

Thursday, Grandma Evelyn's Birthday Dinner

Friday, Reading with Daddy

Planting with Daddy

Friday, The Storm Cometh

This is the storm that has rendered our Apple Tree done. I woke up this morning to find that she is mostly brown and frost-bitten now. So sad. I am pleased, however, that I photographed her from beginning to end this year. I’ll get some brown shots today for a total view.

In sharing these, I’m amused at the total lack of my presence. I didn’t even do any self-portraits this week. It’s amazing that the photographer in the family (being me) can go for months on end and never show up in a photo. It’s almost as if I don’t exist in this family.

Except I do.

Enjoy your weekend!

I’ve decided to start a pics of the week on-going meme here on Stop, Drop & Blog. I take a billion-and-one pictures every week. I can’t possibly find space to put them in every post I write. So, why  not use Wednesday to throw some of my favorites onto the blog.

I present our Pics of the Week: The One with the Busy Schedule.

Sitting on the New Deck

And that’s our week in pictures. Minus my deck sitting and BigBrother’s first day of school. Our weekend, however…

Please say a prayer for FireDad’s maternal grandmother. She fell and broke her hip yesterday and is having replacement surgery today.

Also, a four year old boy with a heart defect that requires medication is missing from my hometown. The search has involved Infared technology and helicopters. It was awfully chilly last night in the area. My Mom has gone out to help in the search efforts. Please say a prayer. If you could tweet the information or help in the search efforts, I’m sure the family of Wyatt Smitsky will be greatly appreciative.
