GAP Denim Makes My Kids Happy (+ Giveaway)
This is sponsored content from BlogHer and GAP.
My oldest son has finally decided to take an interest in what he wears on a daily basis. When this phenomenon first evolved, he had a hard time grasping the concept that denim shorts go with anything. Polo shirt? Check. T-shirt? You betcha. Blue? Mmhmm. Green? Oh yeah. Red? Most definitely. He’s finally grasped the concept after a few months of reminders and is now fully embracing the idea of denim.
He is my child after all.
.
I love denim; jeans, shorts, jackets. Love it. I love it for me because it’s so versatile. I love it for the boys because it’s versatile and durable. When I was asked to review some of the new denim options from GAP, I knew that I wouldn’t be disappointed. Durable, versatile and stylish. I like it.

For my boys, I like either the Original Fit (for my oldest son, in big boys sizes most of the time) or the First Original (for my youngest son). They’re kind of roomy, kind of hip and all boy. Again, I’m really enjoying the fact that these particular cuts for my boys allow them to move and be the active little dudes they are, while still providing that extra little oomph of style.
.
Mainly what I love about GAP denim for the kids is that it lets me pair classics, their jeans and the like, with the fun, their shirts and accessories. That’s kind of how I dress: in a couple classic elements with some fun pieces added in for flair. Right now, they don’t seem to mind my input. Hopefully that continues for quite some time.

And now I want to know what you’d spend $100 on at GAP. Why? I’m giving away a $100 gift card to GAP courtesy of GAP and BlogHer. To enter, leave me a comment explaining who you would spend the money on (yourself is a fine answer) and what you might buy with that money! You can earn extra entries by tweeting, sharing on Facebook or blogging about this giveaway on your public blog. Please leave links to each in their own individual comments! I tweeted the link, and I meant every syllable of that threat.

I would use it on my 13 year old son – he suddenly needs “grown up” clothes and it’s killing me.
I would buy jeans…for myself. Nearly every pair of pants I own is from Gap. I adore their denim.
OH, Sweet. I love GAP. I am going to need to buy Owen some fall/winter clothes and I’d love it to come from Baby GAP!
I would be spending the money on my son. He is going to be moving into 4T clothes very, very soon.
I tweeted you! http://twitter.com/mamacavy/status/19829347668
I’d be tempted to spend on myself, but I’d sure like to see my little Roni in some skinny jeans.
I’d use it on my baby boys because as they get older, and play gets rougher, the life of their jeans gets shorter!
I shared on facebook, too.
My girls are growing like weeds…jeans are a hard to fit item for them as well. I love Gap jeans!
I have always loved GAP. But boy don’t the kids in the Blog look cute!
I have three boys! We go through jeans like toilet paper in this house! I would use it to get them some jeans!
I would spend some on me and some on my baby neice. Baby Gap clothes are SO cute!
I’d buy some clothes for Kiddo as GAP is one place I can find slim jeans since he’s tall and skinny. I’d also buy Hubby some new jeans as well.
I’d actually spend it on my daughter who is seven but is the height of a 9 year old. GAP kids jeans are the only jeans that fit her without being too tight or too long, since she is at a weird size when it comes to jeans. GAP kids jeans are pretty awesome, I totally agree.
I tweeted. I tried to copy and paste the link and your site is acusing me of trying to steal you pics! HA!
I have made a mission to finding durable shorts and pants for my son (7 yrs.) I wore GAP clothes and the denim lasted forever! EUREKA…$100 would go to school clothes! Not only would he look great, but he would wear quality pants/ shorts that last! Mom couldn’t ask for more : )
I LOVE shopping @ Gap. I would probably try to find a little something for the entire family. They have great sale prices.
Okay, let’s be honest here. I really, really, really should spend a gift card on my kids. I mean, come on, they are always in need of clothes. My oldest attracts dirt like a moth to a flame. She cannot walk outside (usually in her socks) without finding the nearest mud puddle or dirt mound. I swear she gets messy just walking to the truck!!!
But I wouldn’t spend it on them… or even on my husband who works so hard to keep food on the table.
Nope… I would, for once, be totally selfish and buy myself something. I mean, seriously, I just had a baby 5 months ago and desperately need some new clothes to go along with this muffin top I’m carrying around. I would spend every last penny on myself and I wouldn’t feel guilty about it.
I think.
I hope.
Let’s see, shall we?
I love the Gap style and durability for my 4 kiddos (2 boys and 2 girls). I’d use it for their special “1st day of school” outfits!
