GAP Denim Makes My Kids Happy (+ Giveaway)
This is sponsored content from BlogHer and GAP.
My oldest son has finally decided to take an interest in what he wears on a daily basis. When this phenomenon first evolved, he had a hard time grasping the concept that denim shorts go with anything. Polo shirt? Check. T-shirt? You betcha. Blue? Mmhmm. Green? Oh yeah. Red? Most definitely. He’s finally grasped the concept after a few months of reminders and is now fully embracing the idea of denim.
He is my child after all.
.
I love denim; jeans, shorts, jackets. Love it. I love it for me because it’s so versatile. I love it for the boys because it’s versatile and durable. When I was asked to review some of the new denim options from GAP, I knew that I wouldn’t be disappointed. Durable, versatile and stylish. I like it.

For my boys, I like either the Original Fit (for my oldest son, in big boys sizes most of the time) or the First Original (for my youngest son). They’re kind of roomy, kind of hip and all boy. Again, I’m really enjoying the fact that these particular cuts for my boys allow them to move and be the active little dudes they are, while still providing that extra little oomph of style.
.
Mainly what I love about GAP denim for the kids is that it lets me pair classics, their jeans and the like, with the fun, their shirts and accessories. That’s kind of how I dress: in a couple classic elements with some fun pieces added in for flair. Right now, they don’t seem to mind my input. Hopefully that continues for quite some time.

And now I want to know what you’d spend $100 on at GAP. Why? I’m giving away a $100 gift card to GAP courtesy of GAP and BlogHer. To enter, leave me a comment explaining who you would spend the money on (yourself is a fine answer) and what you might buy with that money! You can earn extra entries by tweeting, sharing on Facebook or blogging about this giveaway on your public blog. Please leave links to each in their own individual comments! This giveaway is live through August 4, 2010.

I think I would get some of the city flats because I love flats and they come in my size (11!!) Altho if I won I think I would have to get Burghbaby a t-shirt or something because Pittsburgh is only 2.5 hours from me and I have a feeling that for a $100 gift card she may come and kick my toosh with they way she threatened us all on twitter. I kid! I kid! (sort of, did you know she dug a pond by herself….she is super woman!)
I would also be tempted to spend it on myself. However, being a parent, I would spend it on my daughter as she is already outgrowing the clothes I just bought her a couple of months ago.
I would use it on me! I’ve been losing weight and need some new jeans!

After just spending hundreds on back to school clothes, shoes and supplies I think I’d keep this one for myself. Love their long and lean jeans.

I’d buy whatever I could in Gap red or navy blue…two of my most favorite colors are Gap red and blue! The blue is so classic and the red reminds me of the fourth of July year-round! Pair a Gap red sweater with jeans and you’ve got one of my fav outfits!
I don’t have kids…so I’d spend it on ME! I would save it and buy new jeans once I lose a few pounds. I’ve been really excited because I’ve kept up with my workouts and clothes that were too tight before actually fit now. I can’t wait to buy new clothes because these ones will be too big! (Let’s hope I keep my motivation until that happens.)

I would probably spend most of it on my daughter for fall/winter clothes. It seems like every time I turn around, she has outgrown her last size! I have almost always loved GAP clothing for kids (I still wish she fit into the baby/toddler sizes because those are my favorite styles
).

Thank you so much for offering such a generous gift! I would split the GC with my boyfriend. He is in desperate need of new cargo shorts and I’ve been eying this cute little jacket. http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=5739&vid=1&pid=750220
I would have to spend it on my kids for Back to school. I am loving Gap’s skinny jeans in faded medium wash and their straight fit jeans in painted light wash for boys.

What would *I* spend?
I would buy pants that fit my ass.
I would buy tops that fit my new D-cups.
I would buy clothes that last a long time and fit me well.
I might love Gap a bit.
Its going to be very HOT in NYC for BlogHer, so if I had a Gap gift card, I’d wonder over to the Gap on 5th Ave and stock up on some cool threads!
I’d be getting the Empire Tank Dress, the Georgette Scoop Tees, the heiress Tee for parties from the American Women Collection.
If there are any still in stock, I’d also snatch up the Flapper and Screen Siren tees from the American Women Collection: http://therecessionista.blogspot.com/2010/05/gaps-new-collection-of-tees.html
All those Tees are fantastic, stylish and COOL!
I tweet on this contest, and posted to Facebook too.

I shared this on FaceBook.
I am pregnant with baby #2 and would likely spend the money on new baby clothes. However, my nearly 5 year old is growing like a weed and definitely needs new jeans for the fall/winter season, so the $100 may end up going toward his wardrobe instead.
