Ketchup + Wisk = Laundry Miracle

Wisk_Beta_BloggerWisk and One2One Network sent us a fun little experiment to share with you. Basically, they wanted me to put ketchup on a white shirt. Pfft. I make my kids take off their shirts if we’re even thinking of ketchup. Thankfully, Wisk provided me with a shirt, so I didn’t have to freak out about potentially ruining one of ours. More over — it didn’t get ruined.

Who knew?

First, I took pictures of two potential trouble makers. Aww.

Then I let LittleBrother put ketchup on a brush.

Then I told him to paint his brother’s shirt with the ketchup. They both thought I was nuts, but they went with it.

They’re smiling here because they think I’m absolutely looney.

I then removed the excess ketchup with a paper towel.

Put some Wisk all over the stain.

Let it set and rubbed it in for 30 seconds.

And then all I did was rinse it. I didn’t even wash it in the washer.

Despite what the picture shows, it did have a teensy little bit of stain in one spot where I might not have rubbed or soaked it long enough. But otherwise? Gone. Ketchup is GONE off of a white shirt. I didn’t think that was possible. After washing the shirt, by the way, the stain is gone completely. Not even remotely visible. Awesome.

And, just so you know, the smell of ketchup makes me gag, so this was a difficult experiment for me to complete! I am thankful for my helpers though. They’re so darn cute.

If you’d like to learn more about Wisk’s Stain Spectrum Technology, you can visit their website and follow them on Facebook or twitter. Wisk is retailing for $5.99 a bottle and lasts a pretty darn long time. (I’ve been using it on our multitude of fall grass stains on the knees of all of their pants and there hasn’t been one that Wisk couldn’t get out. Yet. WOO!)
