Let’s Talk More Win-Win Food Stuffs, Okay?
Last week I talked about how I convince my children that they like healthy food just so I can eat what I want. And, you know, my husband. This week I have to tell you about how I’ve tricked my children again.
It didn’t start out as trickery. I really promise.
You see, we only get ice cream on Fridays in the summer. I wanted to limit the amount of crazy-delicious ice cream cones I was consuming at our local ice cream shop. And this is the good ice cream, folks. Local. Crazy good flavors. The stuff that you just want more and more of. So I maybe kinda convinced my kids that you’re only allowed to go to the ice cream shop once a week. And our day is Fridays.
They’re five and three. And they believed me. So, it’s win-win. They get ice cream on Friday and my waistline doesn’t expand exponentially. In fact, it’s win-win-win because, as they think it’s a rule someone else set, there’s no complaining. Hallelujah. (Ethical? I don’t know. Ask Santa, okay?)
Anyway, speaking of win-win, I have something to tell you from Hillshire Farm.
Starting August 1st, when someone watches the featured video on the Hillshire Farm Facebook page, they will get to download a $.55 Off coupon for any Hillshire Farm product. THEN, if they post the offer on their Facebook Newsfeed or enter three friend’s email addresses, they will have the opportunity to upgrade to a larger coupon for $1 Off.
Basically, you and you friends save money just because you’re watching a funny video. What’s better than that? Besides, you know, lying to your kids about ice cream and getting away with it. Ahem.
[Disclosure: This is my second post in a series of four sponsored posts by Hillshire Farm. Obviously my words are my own.]
